MC: Before debut, did you have any problems with the environment you were in?

LT: Talking about this…I never have talked about this…My parents relationship was not good. It was like that even long time ago. They fought too much and I got beat too much. I had that kind of stress since elementary. I was very scared of my father and I also hated him. So, during trainee days I asked, “Am I doing the right thing?” I had many thoughts. I wanted to become successful quickly.

MC: At one time, he thought of himself as most unlucky person and thought he did not have anything but now he knows because those times existed, he is at where he is now. </3

Behind every smile is an untold story. This man has gone through so much, yet he found and still finds the strength to smile and guide the other members. Maybe that’s why he acts like a father, protecting the members, -the others around him-, because he didn’t have that someone to do so for him. The tears he sheds, at concerts, awards ceremonies, music shows, etc., when he seems overwhelmed by so many feelings,..those are pure tears.

And it does take a lot of strength to open up like this and speak about such things. But what didn’t kill him, made him stronger.

“People who seem to be the happiest are mostly those who suffered in life.” - that is so true.  The hard times he has gone through paid off, because he is where he is today. Facing against everyone and everything, he kept on walking on the chosen path and managed to succeed.

Leeteuk, never change. Just keep going and be yourself, you’re loved, appreciated and looked upon as an inspiration just because of who you are.
